The Information We Collect

There are two types of information we collect when you visit votika: personal information you choose to disclose that is collected by us and Website use information collected by us as you visit our website

When you register to become a member of votika, you provide us with some very basic personal information: your e-mail address, a username, a password, your gender, your birth date, and what country you are from. All such User submitted data is collected and stored at votika's or its agent's facilities for possible aggregation, sale and/or provision to third parties. If such aggregated data is sold, no personally identifying information about any user, such as username or email, will be supplied to the third party.

Additionally, some information we collect is not explicitly submitted by the user. When you visit votika, we collect your IP address, operating system and browser types. We also store certain information from your browser using "cookies". A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer for record keeping and record tracking purposes. Cookies cannot be used to learn your identity unless you have previously provided that information to that web site or your web browser automatically provides that information. You can block or disable this cookie by changing your browser setting.

How we use your information

Your e-mail address may be used in notifications such as an invitation to participate in a ranking or candidate, a reminder of the creation of a new ranking or candidate, and updates or news regarding the web site. You can choose to opt out of any or all of the e-mail notifications by e-mailing admin@votika.com . Your e-mail address will not be shown to any other users under any circumstances.

Your username will be shown to other users in conjunction to rankings and candidates you have published or contributed to their contents. Your username will also be shown in the exchange of messages within the internal message system of votika as well as within e-mail notifications.

We collect the demographic information (i.e. age, gender and country of residence) to better filter the rankings by these parameters for strictly internal analysis so that we can provide a better and more personalized product to our users.

Transfer of Information

Other than as specified in this Privacy Policy, we do not share, sell, trade or give away any of your personal information to third parties, unless we are required to do so by law or have a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, or governmental request, (b) enforce the Terms of Use, such as investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect the rights or property of votika, or its users.

Votika users' personal information is transferred to, processed and stored in the United States or in any other country where votika and its agents have their facilities. By registering with votika or using votika's web site, you consent that your personal information may be transferred out of your own country.

In case of transfer of ownership of votika, votika reserves the right to transfer your personal information to the new ownership. Votika will notify you before such transfer occurs and your personal information would remain subject to promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy.

Changing or Removing Information

You being a registered votika user can modify or delete your information at all time through the edit your profile link. Information will be updated immediately. You can terminate your account by e-mailing admin@votika.com . We will generally process such request within 3 days. However, you should be aware that a residue copy of your information may be stored on our system even after the termination of your account, but will not generally be available to other users of votika.

Security

We take reasonable precautions to ensure the security of your information, use industry standard measure to protect information stored in our facility.

We cautiously limit the access of your information by our employees to perform their job functions.
